Outdoor photographer Switzerland (Zürich, Zug, Lucerne, Bern): Martin Bissig
I am the right person for you, when it comes to outdoor photography. Skiing, biking, hiking, trekking and other outdoor sports have always been my passion. I am in a lucky position allowing me to combine my biggest two passions – photography and outdoor action. In 2003, I became a professional photographer and have made myself a name by shooting for international clients and magazines.
Tourism photography
When it comes to promoting a destination, tourism areas approach me to take pictures or film different outdoor activities in their area, for example Zürich, Berne, Zug, Lucerne or Valais. I hae shot all of the hiking and skiing images for Hoch Ybrig. I have shot a hiking campaign for Toggenburg Tourismus as well as a mountainbiking campaign for Graubünden Tourismus. The “Home of Trails” campaign with Danny MacAskill and Claudio Caluori has been a huge success internationally.
Mountainbike photography
One of my main fields is mountain bike photography. I have been a mountainbiker myself for more than 30 years and I know exactly what my clients are looking for. I have shot for international brands like Oakley, Specialized, Scott, Deuter and Adidas. My stories are published in magazines worldwide. I travel to exotic places like Azores, Iran, Israel and South Africa to capture the beauty of mountain biking.
Skiing photography
I have also been doing some skiing photography for clients like Rossignol, Salomon and tourism areas. It is not my primary field but I love doing it. I love capturing the action in the snow.
Travel photography
Outdoor and travel photography usually goes hand in hand for me. Many of the stories that I publish are more likely expeditions and adventure trips than a regular trip. For example, I joined three athletes that were climbing Kilimanjaro on their bikes. I have also shot the images for a travel company that offers Kilimanjaro by mountainbike. I was filming and taking pictures on a expedition through the Himalayas in winter. The movie was shown on Swiss national television. One of the best experiences I had was shooting a fatbike trip to Greenland. It was also shown on TV as well as published internationally.
